Great news for wine lovers; Delheim’s famous cheese fondue Sundays are back this winter! Even better news is that these indulgent afternoons in the winelands just got a whole lot better with the introduction of live music performances, thanks to a delightful collaboration between the Cape Town Music Academy (CTMA) and Jazz in the Native Yards. Taking place every Sunday from 24 June to 26 August 2018, the Delheim Jazz & Cheese Fondue series promises to be a showstopper of note.

Showcasing a bunch of fresh new music talent, these jazzed up afternoons of winter indulgence will offer three live music sessions per event, along with the finest estate wines and tons of cheesy delight. Taking place in Delheim’s downstairs wine tasting cellar – an intimate, cosy venue with low ceilings – guests will be treated to fondue pots bubbling over with Gruyère and Emmentaler paired with some of Delheim’s most delicious wines. Could you think of a better way to spend a winter’s day out?

Situated just outside the City of Oaks in the Simonsberg sub-region of the Stellenbosch Wine Routes, Delheim is a quick 45-minute road trip out of Cape Town. Delheims Jazz & Cheese events will take place on 24 June, 1 July, 8 July, 15 July, 22 July, 29 July, 5 August, 12 August, 19 August and 26 August. Tickets are R450 per person and include live music performances, Glüwein and soup on arrival, as well as the hearty fondue selection served with complimentary Delheim wines. The event starts at 12:00 ever Sunday with the first jazz performances at 12:30, and fondue served at 13:15.
