Great news for beer lovers, a dedicated craft beer festival is coming to the northern suburbs this weekend! Taking place on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st of August 2019, at Capegate Shopping Centre, this year’s exciting event is bringing even more beer to the table than ever before. While in previous years, the popular annual festival was mostly wine-focused, this time around the event will evolve into a fully-fledged craft beer festival. The all-new Capegate Craft Beer Festival will shine the light on the local craft beer industry, allowing local breweries to show off their wares.

Featuring a wide range of delicious beers; the festival will indeed be a celebration of all things beer. The weekend promises to be a true highlight on the social calendar with great entertainment including a variety of brewers, food stalls, and live music.

Breweries showcasing their wares at the festival include Boston Brewery, Red Sky Brewery, Stellenbosch Brewery, Noon Gun Breweries, and Kings Craft Brewing Co, and many more. For those looking for something other than a cold brew, there will also be a few craft gin brands waiting in the wings to quench your thirst. If you love a good G&T don’t forget to stop by the Hamilton’s Gin & Tonic and Dutch Republic G&T stands.

Beer lovers can also try their hand at The Italian Job Brewery’s beer pong challenge. Groups of four will get the opportunity to participate in the challenge after purchasing a R100 jug of beer.
