Idiom Launches Exciting New Wine & Macaron Tasting Experience

Idiom wine and macaron pairing

Forget Stellenbosch and Constantia, the Somerset West winelands is just waiting to be discovered. Just a short drive from Cape Town, this often overlooked wine area offers a wide variety of undiscovered gems. Take for example Idiom wines and its oh-so-sweet new offering — an exquisite wine and macaron tasting. Pop into this breathtakingly beautiful wine farm and enjoy a sweet escape while taking in the incredible views of False Bay!

Explore Idiom’s unique wine collection along with a pairing of authentically Italian-inspired macarons. Guests will also enjoy breathtaking 180-degree panoramic views of the bay and mountain as a background to the tasting experience. Made by the talented pastry team at Idiom, the macarons are handcrafted to highlight the different notes and flavours of the wine collection.

The tasting includes 3 wine and macaron pairings and starts with an imported Prosecco from the Veneto region called Romeo and Juliet. Paired with a Chamomile macaron garnished with white estate flowers, peach buttercream, white chocolate and bee pollen dust, this is the ultimate flavour explosion. Another highlight is the Idiom Imperium Black Gold Hailstorm paired with a blueberry macaron with dark chocolate ganache, violet jelly, blueberry gel and dried blueberry raisins.
