Specialising in wholesome, plant-based and allergy-friendly foods that are gluten, dairy and refined sugar-free, the website serves as a space for Weiner to share her delicious recipes and tell her personal story of learning the importance of making time for one’s wellness so that we aren’t forced to make time for our illness.
Weiner grew up vegetarian and describes the kitchen as her “happy place”. An avid cook from a young age, Weiner says she is “passionate about conscious living, plant-based nourishment and holistic healing.” But, while she has always loved cooking and creating in the kitchen, it was her recent health struggles that inspired her to launch her own plant-based foodie website to share her journey with others.
The about section on her website offers a glimpse into her struggles and her inspiration for wanting to help others on their health journey. After many years of burning the candle at both ends, coupled with personal and family traumas, Weiner describes how neglecting her mental and physical health resulted in her suffering from “extreme burn out and severe adrenal fatigue which led to the worst anxiety and panic attacks coupled with PCOS and a liver condition.”
Determined to get healthy, She took up the challenge of taking her health into her own hands which she says led her on an incredible journey of “self-discovery, transformational growth, conscious living, healing with plants and most importantly learning to prioritise my own health and wellness.”
Her food philosophy is simple; “food should be delicious, nutritious and nourishing while helping to fuel and heal your body, mind and spirit,” says Weiner. “I love recreating my favourite recipes that heal instead of hurt, all my recipes are gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free.”
