Roy Jones Jr & Jodi Solomon Team Up to Launch Joburg Boxing Gym!

Great news for boxing fanatics in Joburg – South African boxing trainer, Jodi Solomon, is teaming up with US boxing champ, Roy Jones JR, to launch a brand new boxing gym in the City of Gold! Located in Craighall, Roy Jones JR and Jodi Soloman Boxing is sure to become a popular boxing training gym for both newbie and experienced boxers alike and we can’t wait to pay them a visit when the gym opens its doors.

Jodi Solomon began boxing over twenty years ago, training in an environment where there was no competition for women in the sport. She then began training and managing local talented boxers to success, making her mark in the industry. Considered by many to be one of the best boxers of all time, pound for pound, US boxing champion, Roy Jones JR left his mark on boxing history when he won the WBA heavyweight title in 2003, becoming the first former middleweight champion to win a heavyweight title in 106 years.

The Roy Jones JR and Jodi Soloman Boxing gym will open in Joburg within the next three months and will focus on inspiring those wanting to stay fit through the medium of boxing. The gym will also assist both pro-fighters and younger talent to grow within the boxing industry and identify those that may be promoted through Roy’s successful US-based company.
