Wine of the Month Club: Celebrate Mother’s Day with Laborie MCC Blanc de Blancs
It’s time once again for Wine of the Month Club! I have sampled some delicious wines over the past few months and now I’m back, ready to introduce you to my favourite wine for May 2016. And, because it’s Mother’s Day this month I thought this was the perfect opportunity to introduce you to Laborie MCC Blanc de Blancs – because nothing says; “I love you mom” quite like a fine bottle of MCC. Here’s why it is my pick for Wine of the Month Club this month!
If you’re celebrating a special occasion then there’s no doubt Laborie’s MCC should make the cut for your bubbly of choice. Made from all-white grapes, namely Chardonnay, this complex and indulgent MCC offers the discerning bubbly drinker something to savour. With hints of lime accompanied by aromas of toasted bread and hazelnut, this MCC is refreshing and is sure to keep your taste buds guessing with every sip. The palate is creamy, round and textured with an explosive acidity and lasting, elegant finish.
Of course, there’s no question that you don’t have to wait for a celebration to enjoy this delicious MCC. Mother’s Day is, however, the perfect excuse to crack open a bottle and this beautiful sparkler would make the ideal gift for your mom this May. Serve well chilled and enjoy it on its own or with oysters, salmon, delicate seafood dishes, and salads.
