COLAB ACTIVE Sheer & Invisible Dry Shampoo
Every girl who loves to sweat it out knows the importance of a good dry shampoo to tide you over in-between washes. The new COLAB ACTIVE Dry Shampoo is a great choice for active types who love the feeling of clean and beautifully soft hair after a workout. Developed by a collective of beauty experts, led by fashion model and blogger Ruth Crilly, this sheer and invisible dry shampoo helps to refresh hair without leaving a white residue, even on darker hair. It also helps to protect and condition the hair and is perfect for those with an active lifestyle. With a super fresh scent this fabulous dry shampoo is cruelty-free, offers UV protection, pollution protection and is conditioning to boot. COLAB ACTIVE Dry Shampoo is delightfully lightweight and I left my hair feeling so soft every time I used it. These days it lives in my yoga bag and is a lifesaver after a hot yoga class. It’s a definite must-have for summer!

Environ A, C & E Oil
This light, multi-use oil is just the thing to help nourish and relieve dry and sun-damaged skin this summer. This is the ultimate pampering oil and leaves your skin feeling velvety soft and looking oh-so-dewy and fresh. But that’s not all – it also helps to condition skin and improve the appearance of fine lines and uneven skin tone. Packed with antioxidants the Environ A, C, & E oil helps boost your skin’s protective barrier protecting your skin from harmful environmental influences. It’s especially helpful for exposed areas such as the hands, arms, décolletage legs and feet. For best results massage a thin layer of the oil into skin twice a day, preferably after a bath or shower. It also works really well when used with the Environ Derma-Lac Lotion (Environ’s incredible exfoliator-slash-moisturiser – read my full review here). I use the two after shaving my legs and it works like an absolute bomb, leaving my skin feeling as soft as a baby’s bottom! But it’s not just for your body, the Environ A, C, & E Oil is made for use on your face too! Just add a few drops to your daily moisturiser for added nourishment for a little extra moisture boost.

La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water
La Roche-Posay launched in South Africa just a few short months ago and the Thermal Spring Water is at the core of this legendary brand’s products. La Roche-Posay was founded on their now core active ingredient, Selenium-rich spring water, which was discovered in the town of La Roche-Posay, France centuries ago. This uniqe spring water showed incredible results for those suffering with problem and sensitive skin and today it is used is used as the key ingredient in their skin care formulas. This complete range of skincare products is dedicated to sensitive skin and the Thermal Spring Water is definitely the hero product when it comes to treating sensitive, irritated or inflamed skin. This spray, with its soothing properties, helps reduce skin sensitivity while respecting the physiological balance of sensitive skin. The product is ideal for those who struggle with highly sensitive skin but can also be used as a wonderfully refreshing spray to cool and refresh all skin types, especially in the height of summer. I like to use the spray as a toner after cleansing and also keep it in my handbag to cool down on a hot summer’s day rushing from meeting to meeting. A lot of men also use it as an aftershave spray for an instant calming effect post-shaving.

Vaseline Intensive Care Spray Moisturisers
This new range of spray moisturisers from Vaseline Intensive Care is beyond brilliant. These little cans of joy allow you to moisturise your skin in a flash with the product absorbing in seconds, so there’s no excuse not to have beautifully soft, skin! The range offers 3 different variants including – ‘Aloe Fresh’ (green), ‘Cocoa Radiant’ (brown), and ‘Deep Restore’ (yellow) – with each variant offering a little something different for your skin. I personally love the Aloe Fresh because it’s oh-so-soothing on my dry and sensitive skin. The spray canisters make applying moisturiser to your body super easy – to apply simply twist the nozzle head and spray a line of product along your body, then with almost no effort at all rub the product into your skin. The can dispenses a super fine, non-greasy milky mist onto the skin, which absorbs in seconds, leaving you with soft, beautiful skin. The contoured aluminium can fits comfortably in your hand and features a twist-lock spray nozzle that prevents spills and makes application easy. The no-spills lid also makes the moisturiser ultra handbag-friendly allowing you to take it with you and apply anytime your skin feels dry.

Ok, so Bio Oil might not be new but I’ve recently re-discovered this old favourite when I had to treat a scar on my inner arm. Our bodies do a great job at repairing wounds quickly but often the scars left behind can make us self-conscious, especially in summer when we’re showing more skin than usual. Scars usually fade over time, and while there is no product that can make a scar disappear entirely, there are solutions which offer us the opportunity to improve the scar’s appearance. Which brings me to Bio-Oil – when used the right way this lovely oil is a true lifesaver. The trick is to start using the oil as soon as the skin has completely healed. Bio-Oil should be applied generously to the affected area twice per day, with a gentle massaging action. By massaging the area you will reduce scar sensitivity and help the skin and nerves around the scar become more tolerant of the normal forces of everyday living. As for the Bio-Oil it helps to maximise the elasticity of the skin, and provides relief from itching or other irritations in the area. Bio-Oil also helps to restore the skin’s function and helps to improve the appearance of the scar, so that it is softened, flattened and normalised in its colour and texture. Of course, Bio-Oil can also be used as an all-over body moisturiser and even as a bath oil when you need to pamper your skin.
Available at pharmacies and selected retail outlets nationwide in 60ml at R89.99, 125ml at R129.99 and 200ml at R189.99.

Mud Cleanser and Makeup Remover
This 2-in-a facial cleanser and make-up remover was designed to dissolve the daily build-up of dirt and makeup on the skin. According to Mud, the product is so much more than just a basic cleanser. It has been formulated with a blend of natural oils and Omega Plus, for maximum antioxidant protection, thus making it an ideal daily cleanser that not only cleans but also leaves skin feeling hydrated and with no oily residue.
