Allée Bleue’s Popular ‘CHICNIC’ Baskets for Two are Back this Summer!
Nothing says summer quite like a relaxing picnic. If you take your picnics seriously then you’ll no doubt want to try the famous Allée Bleue ‘CHICNIC’. Back by popular demand, the wine estate’s unique picnics add a touch of glamour to the traditional picnic.
Book your basket for two and enjoy a picnic under a giant oak tree at Allée Bleue while sipping on delicious wines from the estate. Perfect for unwinding on long, warm days, a picnic in the winelands is the ideal summer activity for the whole family. Each ‘CHICNIC’ basket is inspired by fresh produce grown on the estate with a special focus on signature fresh-cut herbs.
A fusion of local flavours with both vegetarian and meat options the baskets are booked for on-the-go to collect before you find your favourite spot on the luscious green lawns on the estate. The meat basket includes a roast beef wrap with fresh herbs, fresh tomato & spicy mayo, a selection of fine local cheeses and cold meats as well as freshly baked breads served with tapenade, marmalade and pesto, and creamy yoghurt balls. Snack on a fresh farm salad finished with Pecorin0 cheese and a wine reduction made from Allée Bleue’s famous wines. Finish up with a lemon posset and chocolate mint cookie crumble.
Vegetarian? Try the delicious meat-free option featuring a smoked feta, chickpea and tomato wrap, a selection of fine local cheeses, olives and melba toast with olive tapenade, onion marmalade, and chilli tomato chutney and basil pesto. If your kids feel like taking a break from running around on the estate’s jungle gym or jumping castle, have them munch on their own picnic filled with delights like a chicken-mayo wrap with grilled pineapple, sweet potato crisps, cold meats and cheddar cheese, as well as a drinking yoghurt.
