Anna Kendrick Is In A New Musical! [Watch]
You may have noticed that we are HUGE fans of Anna Kendrick over here at WomenStuff headquarters. Which is why we were beyond excited to hear that the actress-slash-songstress is in a brand new musical! Ok, we know what you’re thinking; “Not another musical Anna!” But we implore you to give The Last Five Years a try. Here are all the details on this super cute film.
Starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan the film (which was based on the musical by Jason Robert Brown) follows small town girl Cathy and her boyfriend Jamie as their love story unfolds over five years. The struggling actress and her novelist boyfriend use sweet, sweet music to take us through the trials and tribulations of love and it looks like it’s going to be a real tear jerker.
We love that the film rejects the typical film narrative and instead takes us through the story with Cathy starting her story at the end of the relationship whereas Jamie starts his at the beginning of their relationship. Of course, their stories meet in the middle when Jamie proposes.
