Bootlegger Announces First Halaal Store in Cape Town

Great news for Halaal foodies; your choices of places to grab a bite and a coffee just got upgraded! Popular Cape Town café franchise, Bootlegger Coffee Company, is one of the latest spots to be added to the ever-growing list of Halaal certified eateries in Cape Town. The much-loved coffee chain recently announced that their Three Anchor Bay branch is fully Halaal certified through the Islamic Council of South Africa (ICSA), making it the obvious choice for coffee catch-ups and business meetings near the city centre.

In celebration of the big news, Bootlegger Coffee Company is launching an exciting new milkshake menu available exclusively at the Three Anchor Bay store where guests can also try items available on the restaurant’s new summer menu. Featuring dishes like a simple, fresh sesame chicken & pak choi salad or a flavourful lamb meatball hot press sandwich, for the more adventurous, the new summer menu at Bootleggers is sure to offer something to suit a wide variety of tastes.

The recent Halaal certification means that the brand is more accessible to anyone who wants to try it. Their famed all-day breakfast menu is enticing, featuring favourites such as eggs Benedict; buttermilk flapjacks and smashed avocado and smoked salmon on sourdough. Hungrier humans might prefer something heartier like the Bootlegger Omelette with goats cheese, baby spinach and cherry tomato. Bootlegger also has an R18 coffee special that runs from 06:30 to 08:30 every morning!

As for the special milkshake menu, which is only available at the Three Anchor Bay branch, this new addition includes mouthwatering flavours such as Toasted Banana Bread, Peanut Butter Brownie and Marshmallow-Turkish Delight.
