Don’t Miss the 2018 Capegate Craft Beer & Wine Festival
There’s no denying it, wine festivals are pretty great — especially when combined with shopping! In a rather brilliant move, Capegate Shopping Centre is helping wine lovers get a taste of all things wine with a splash of shopping at its 8th annual Capegate beer and wine festival in September. What’s more, this year’s event promises to be even bigger and better than previous years with both the addition of craft beer to the festival as well as a brand new, more spacious location.
Taking place on Friday 31 August and Saturday 1 September, the festival offers wine and beer lovers the opportunity to sample over 20 wineries and craft beer breweries from all around the Western Cape. Ticket holders can expect to taste a variety of boozy beverages and purchase their most-loved options to enjoy at the festival while a variety of fabulous food trucks will help festival goers keep hunger at bay. While you’re there, soak up the vibe and tap your feet to the live music line-up taking to the stage on the day.
The festival takes place at Capegate Shopping Centre, Entrance 6 on Friday 31 August (17:00 – 21:00) and Saturday 1 September (13:00 – 18:00). Tickets are available online from Webtickets at R75 per person or R90 at the door. Your entry ticket includes a coupon booklet, containing 20 tasting coupons. Festival goers can buy more coupons once their booklet is finished or a bottle of wine for on-premise consumption.
