Pick Your Own Apricots, Peaches, & Grapes at De Krans this Summer

Oh, summer you beautiful thing! On top of all that divinely balmy weather and refreshing dips in the pool comes the bounty of the summer harvest – sweet, seasonal fruit like grapes, apricots and peaches. If you’re wanting to go pick some of your own for a fun day out this summer, then look no further than the variety of fruit picking experiences at De Krans Wine Cellar in Calitzdorp.

From November to March, De Krans invites visitors to partake in a firm farm favourite – picking your own fruit. For apricots, Bulida Apricots will be available for picking from 22 November to 3 December 2017 at only R6.50 per kg, while for peaches make your way through during 16 to 27 December 2017 for Oom Sarel Cling Peaches perfect for the picking at only R8 per kg. Then, for the grape lovers out there, Hanepoot Grapes are available for picking from 7 February to 4 March 2018 at only R7.50 per kg.

All dates are weather dependent and can change at short notice, so it’s best to call ahead and confirm. This really is the perfect family outing and if you can’t make these dates, the farm is still open 7 days a week from 09:00 to 16:00 for wine tasting, picking fruit, or a spot of lunch at the De Krans Deli and Bistro.
