Recipe: Try this Classic Gin Cocktail for a Memorable Valentine’s Day

Wixworth Gin

Valentine’s Day is almost upon us and while there are loads of ways to show your significant other that you care, some of us need a little help when it comes to planning an extra special day or night for a loved one. There’s no recipe for a perfect Valentine’s Day but Wixworth gin has a few pointers on how you can make the day of love extra special. If you’re unsure of what to do for Valentine’s Day this year, these suggestions will help take the chore out of organising something special for your loved one and will hopefully get the sparks flying.

Cook your ‘signature dish’

If you’re most comfortable in the kitchen, then whipping up a romantic dinner at home is a sure-fire way to steal the heart of your valentine. A delicious meal cooked well and with love will leave most weak at the knees, especially if it’s their favourite dish. While serving something with a personal touch could leave your Valentine smitten, pulling a ‘’naked chef’’ when it’s the first time your date is visiting, is a definite no-no (unless, of course, you’re both into that kind of thing — there’s no judgement here).

Use the element of surprise:

Not just for spy movies and late-night stakeouts, the element of surprise is a Valentine’s Day winner as well. Rather than booking a table at a swanky restaurant for Valentine’s Day, you could try surprising your date with a special picnic. Pack a picnic basket and whisk your valentine off to a scenic spot with a bottle of their favourite tipple in tow. It may seem cliché but leaving things to the imagination can be a thrill for someone who’s used to the norm.

Choose your ‘wingwoman’ wisely:

Whether you’re staying home or going out, there’s no better way to celebrate with your special someone than a delicious gin cocktail. Bringing a classic such as Wixworth Gin to the table or the picnic blanket can help you succeed in the game of love. This deliciously refreshing gin has a unique taste to anything else on the market and goes down a treat when served with a slice of lime. By buying Wixworth you’ll also be doing your bit to help the environment. For every bottle of Wixworth sold, a contribution is made to stoprhinopoaching.com in aid of the fight against rhino poaching.

If you’re tired of a plain old G&T then try this classic recipe for a Wixworth Collins. This ‘gin fizz’ cocktail is refreshing and a delightful treat for gin lovers.
