There are so many great local skincare products on the market these days. But, not many of them combine the beauty of natural skincare with results-driven science. If you’re looking for a natural and organic skincare range that offers results that are more than just skin-deep, South African born brand, Pradiance is it.
The range is scientifically formulated with Kigelia, and a selection of powerful African botanicals known for their anti-ageing qualities, healing effect on the skin, and ability to improve scar tissue and blemishes. Sustainably sourced and certified natural, the ingredients in Pradiance skincare will help improve the condition of your skin, giving you lasting results.
Hero ingredient, Kigelia is high in antioxidants and works to improve skin elasticity, and create a firmer and smoother complexion. This powerful ingredient also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and can help to prevent free radical activity. Kigelia is also said to help repair the skin tissue at deep levels and is said to be highly effective at treating sun-damaged skin.
Vegan-friendly, the Pradiance range is not tested on animals and is produced in a local organic-certified lab, making it a proudly South African product with strong scientific and natural credentials. The range is 100% natural and organic, which means they don’t use any synthetic ingredients that could be harmful to the planet or humans.
The desired effect is to provide anti-oxidants to the skin, heal sun-damaged skin and scar tissue as well as to even out skin tone and enhance the health and beauty of the skin.
Hands-on with Pradiance
The Pradiance range features a wide array of products from cleansers, toners, and creams to serums, masks, and suncare. I recently got the opportunity to try the Pradiance Face Wash (R280) as well as the Exfoliating Clay Mask (R384) and was super impressed.
The gel-based face wash is a great option for anyone who loves that super-clean-skin feeling. It has a beautiful, fresh scent and works to deeply clean the skin and remove makeup. Suitable for all skin types, Pradiance says the face wash can also be used by men to shave with at the same time as cleansing the face. I love this face wash because it leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean without stripping the skin too much, and it’s brilliant at removing makeup.
Some key ingredients in the product include Aloe Vera Leaf Extract, Sesame Seed Oil, Orange Peel Oil, Melon Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, as well as Tea Tree Oil. To use, simply mix a small amount with warm water and wash face, neck and décolleté before rinsing thoroughly with warm water.
While I loved the Pradiance face wash, the Exfoliating Clay Mask was the real ‘wow’ product for me. This deep cleansing and exfoliating clay-based mask is a real treat to use and brings a little luxury to your skincare routine. The clay binds to dead skin cells and impurities and leaves the skin feeling smooth and soft after every use. It’s also a whizz at helping to remove blackheads when used frequently.
Some key ingredients in the mask include Baobab Fruit Extract and Lavender Oil. The mask is recommended to be used 3 times per week for acne-prone skin and less regularly for sensitive skin. My skin is quite reactive so once a week was more than enough for me to brighten my skin and maintain a glowing complexion.
The mask came with a complimentary hand-made pottery bowl and brush, which made it feel like I was having a facial at a fancy-pants spa. To use, mix 1 teaspoon of your clay mask in a small bowl or your hand, with water and a spot of your cleanser to form a creamy paste. Apply to the face and décolleté and leave on for 10–15 minutes.
Why Choose Pradiance?
Pradiance products are non-comedogenic, formulated with biodegradable ingredients and fragranced with only 100% natural fragrances. All the packaging in the range is recyclable.
Pradiance says that with long-term use the products will help to improve skin health and vitality, increase firmness, improve elasticity, and increased hydration levels. Other benefits include assisting in treating sun-damaged skin as well as improving the appearance of scar tissue, dark spots, blemishes and skin discolouration.
I’ve been using these two Pradiance products for a few weeks now and can definitely see a difference in the condition of my skin from using the combination of the deep cleansing face wash and the exfoliating mask. The texture of my skin has improved, and it has a beautiful glow whenever I use the mask. I follow it up with a nourishing face cream and serum to keep my skin in tip-top shape.
