Stellenbosch Hills Brings Wine Tasting Fun to You with Snack & Wine Pairings Boxes

Stellenbosch Hills winery is known for its “out of the box” wine pairings but now, the winery’s team has put them all back inside for you to enjoy at home. While South Africa’s coronavirus lockdown may prevent you from visiting Stellenbosch Hills for a wine tasting experience, the great news is the winery is bringing a little bit of the Stellenbosch Hills magic to your home with the all-new email-and-collect home wine pairing boxes.

Much loved for its Biltong & Wine and Popcorn & Polkadraai wine pairings, Stellenbosch Hills is now offering fans the opportunity to enjoy these innovative wine and snack pairings in the comfort of their own home.

The boxes are great for a nibble-and-sip on chilly winter days or Skype and Zoom gatherings with mates. Order one for you and your mates and get ready to up the ante on your weekly Zoom drinks catch-ups.

The Biltong & Wine box for two includes all the favourites. There’s a mixed case of wine containing Polkadraai Pinotage/Merlot; 1707 Reserve White; 1707 Reserve Red; Stellenbosch Hills Shiraz; Stellenbosch Hills Cabernet Sauvignon; and, Stellenbosch Hills Merlot. Each box also contains tasting notes as well as six variations of separately bagged biltong including springbok, kudu, moist beef and smoked biltong as well as beef and ostrich droëwors. The box costs R600 for two people and you can add biltong and droëwors for friends in your tasting party (up to six portions) at only R50/person extra.

The Popcorn & Polkadraai box for two contains four wines from the easy-drinking Polkadraai range: the Sauvignon Blanc Brut; Chenin Blanc/ Sauvignon Blanc; Rosé; and, Pinotage/ Merlot. Paired with four flavoured popcorn tasters from Guzzle & Wolf Gourmet Popcorn Company, this is a tasty treat you don’t want to miss. Popcorn flavours include coconut and chia seeds; salted caramel; cinnamon and pretzel; and dark chocolate. The box includes tasting notes and is R300 for two people. Extra popcorn is also available at just R40/person.
