Art and Cocktails Come Together at the New UPSTAIRS by [Spasie].

If you’re a bit of a food-loving Capetonian then you have no doubt heard of, or attended, one of the many private dinners and invite-only events hosted by [spasie] UNDERGROUND. Well, now the brains behind the [spasie] brand are upping their game with a new addition to the Cape Town social scene, UPSTAIRS by [spasie], an art gallery-slash-cocktail bar that is bound to knock your socks off.

The newly renovated space above Inside & You’re Out (IYO) Burgers on Bree Street is the second brainchild of [spasie] and has been causing quite a stir amongst Capetonians in the know ever since its opening at the beginning of April. The new space is an art lover’s dream, serving up generous helpings of mixed-medium art by day and delicious bespoke cocktails by night.

Visit during the day (10:00 – 16:00) from Tuesday to Saturday for a some artistic indulgence at the art gallery and check out creative, colourful and collaborative artwork from young and established South African artists. Those wanting to sip on a yummy cocktail or two can pop in from 17:00 until closing time from Wednesday to Saturday. Here you will be able to appreciate the handy work and craftsmanship of bespoke cocktails prepared by skilled beverage artists.
