Great news for beer lovers, the Cape Town Festival of Beer is back this November! The 6th annual festival is known for offering a wide variety of craft beers from local and international mega and micro-breweries in a beautiful setting. If you love beer then there’s no question about it; you cannot miss out on this year’s event.
Taking place from Friday 27- Sunday 29 November 2015 at Hamilton’s Rugby Club, Green Point, this year’s festival promises to be even bigger and better than ever before. For the ladies, or even men who love something a little bit sweeter the festival has added craft ciders to the line-up of vendors. Ciders on show will include Everson’s Cider, Sxollie and The Drift Farm while on the beer front you can expect newcomers like Newlands Spring, Jan Braai Beer, Drifter, Stone Circle, Aegir Project and Stickman Brewery. But that’s not all! Long-standing crowd favorites such as Darling Brew and Devil’s Peak Brewing Company who will also be showcasing their new products to beer lovers at the festival. With such a wide selection of treats on offer at this year’s Cape Town Festival of Beer, you will get the opportunity to taste anything from a fruity pale ale to a hoppy IPA, a chocolatey stout or two and some crisp ciders.
The festival also offers a delicious array of food vendors for when the hunger bug bites. Line your tummies with tasty treats from the likes of Hudsons The Burger Joint, Raith, I Love Pizza, Peter Goffe-Wood’s Kitchen Cowboys, Lotus Food Truck, Hog House, and Black Market Sandwiches. For those with a sweet tooth, Wicked Waffles will sort you out.
And, to keep your feet tapping there will loads of live entertainment on offer. This year’s entertainment line-up includes Los Tacos, Nomadic Orchestra and Grassy Spark on the Friday as well as the ultimate mash-up rock band, The Rockerfellas on the Saturday. Sundays are the perfect day to bring the whole family down for a laid-back afternoon of music and fun, but don’t forget that there will be a kiddies areas at the festival for all 3 days of the event.
