7 Delicious Detox Water Recipes You Need to Try!
Do you often berate yourself for not reaching your goal of drinking 8 glasses, or more of water every day? Drinking that amount of water can be a challenge when there are so many other delicious drinks out there but it’s important to meet the challenge! Whether you’re trying to lose weight or simply want to look and feel healthier, one of the best ways to rid your body of harmful toxins and keep your organs healthy is to drink water. One of the easiest ways to stay motivated to drink up is to infuse your water with fruits and vegetables – not only will you want to keep sipping but you will also get all sorts of other added health benefits from the fruits and veggies you add. To get you started on your infused water journey, here are 10 delicious detox water recipes you need to try.
1. Peppermint & Grapefruit Water
This delicious combo will help you clean out your kidneys, aid in digestion, reduce bloating, improve your skin complexion and stay hydrated. Just mix a jug of purified or tap water with 1/2 lemon (sliced), 1/2 grapefruit (sliced), 1 cup of cucumber (with peel, sliced), 1 teaspoon of freshly grated ginger and a handful of fresh peppermint leaves. Cover with ice and refrigerate for an hour or more before drinking to allow the flavours to infuse.
Note: You can also add a 1/2 orange (sliced) or substitute the lemon for orange.
2. Blueberry & Orange Water
This tasty combo is packed full of antioxidant and is not only great for flushing out toxins but also helps to soften dry skin, boost brain functionality, bolster your immune system and prevent infections. Mix a jug of tap or purified water with a handful of fresh blueberries and 2 oranges (with peel, sliced). Add ice and leave to infuse for at least an hour.
Note: You can also muddle the blueberries a little bit before adding them to the water or squeeze the juice of an additional orange into the water. This will give you a stronger taste.Â

To make this delicious water just combine a jug of water, 1 cup of strawberries (chopped or thinly sliced), 1 lemon (sliced), and a handful of basil (chopped). To make this delicious drink just take a jug of water and add ½ a medium grapefruit (sliced), ½ a cucumber (sliced), ½ a lemon (sliced), 1/2 lime (sliced) lime and a handful of mint leaves. Note: instead of one big jug make a few jars of infused water and put them in the fridge for a great on-the-go fix!
